The South Got Something To Say

Welcome to The South Got Something To Say Podcast. This show is designed to highlight politics below the Mason Dixon line while breaking federal, state and local policy in a way that is digestible and gives a nuanced perspective of the Black Southern voter. For far too long, the South has been framed as a stronghold for the sons and daughters of the Confederacy. However the South is so much more than that. Majority of this country’s African American population resides in the South. Whether it be in the Mississippi Delta, Alabama Black Belt or Georgia Red Clay, Black folks have been here and have built community in these areas but their stories remain untold. The South is changing rapidly and as fresh new faces step onto the community organizing and political scene, Bria, Jordan, Domo, and J. want to give these public servants a platform to elevate their voices and most importantly their work to change the material conditions of our lives.
