#iFightForSickleCell

Sickle Cell is a disease that disproportionately affects Black people. It occurs among 1 out of every 365 Black births and 1 in 13 Black babies have the trait. Though the lack of support is disheartening, I understand itโ€™s due to an overall lack of awareness on a bigger scale. The purpose of this club is to amplify this disease, educate our communities, change the narrative and discrimination Sickle Cell patients face, and build necessary allies. Although this club is mainly geared towards Sickle Cell, our conversations are open to anyone dealing with a chronic illness and everyone that is willing to learn. Every Sunday @ 9am PST/12pm EST
